PROGRAMA 344: 33 REVOLUCIONES POR MINUTO (1939-1976)

Utilizando el tremendo libro de Dorian Lynskey, "33 revoluciones por minuto: historia de la canción protesta", analizaremos en un programa doble las canciones que mejor dibujaron y reflejaron los cambios sociopolíticos en la historia de la música, siendo hoy la primera parte desde Billie Holiday en 1939 con "Strange Fruit", a Bob Marley como estrella (ya sin los Wailers) en 1974, pasando por la Motown o el rock. Y es que quitémonos el estigma peyorativo de la llamada "canción protesta": hablamos de estilos como el punk, el folk, el ska, el reagge o el hip hop, cuya mecha subversiva sería reflejada en letras que muchas veces tendrían duras consecuencias en sus protagonistas. Por tanto, hoy sonarán aparte de los citados Holiday y Marley, artistas como Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, James Brown, John Lennon, Edwin Starr, Marvin Gaye, Neil Young, MC5 o Gil Scott-Heron, así como versiones de Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Leslie West, Fatoumata Diawara o Louis Armstrong.
